PLAY BIG.
I remember the first time I really learned this smart home business lesson. I had turned down some business because I didn’t have enough confidence in myself to handle what the customer wanted. I was too green and uncertain. The difference was my confidence level. I just knew I could work it out and give the customer what they wanted. In retrospect, I know I didn’t give myself enough credit the first time around. You may be selling yourself short as well. Don’t play small just because you’re a small business owner. Smart home business people dream big, think big, and play big. I’m talking about embellishing a little. Not lying, mind you, but being able to say what you’re capable of even though it may not be in your experience yet.
